Intel Verify Marker Utility Publisher's Description

The Verify Marker utility is provided for customers to initiate parity recalculation for RAID 5 volumes.

A RAID 5 volume using Intel Rapid Storage Technology (iRST) 10.5 and 10.6 may become unbootable after replacing a hard drive.

If you have iRST 10.5 or 10.6 and you have a RAID 5 volume, we recommend you upgrade to iRST 10.8 and then run VerifyMarker.exe to recalculate the parity (or manually run "verify and repair" in the 10.8 iRST utility).

The system must contain an Intel Pentium Processor and one of the following Intel products:
- Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/DO/5 Series/3400 Series SATA RAID Controller.
- Intel(R) ICH8M-E/ICH9M-E/5 Series SATA RAID Controller.
